Tamiko Thiel creates virtual reality and augmented reality installations exploring cultural memory, climate change, and technology. Her AR work "Gardens of the Anthropocene" (2018-ongoing) and VR installation "Beyond Manzanar" (2000) address environmental and historical themes. Her work has been shown at the Whitney, ZKM, and the Hamburger Bahnhof.
