Paul-Jean Flandrin (1811, 1902) was a French landscape painter and student of Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, brother of the more celebrated Hippolyte Flandrin. He devoted his career primarily to classical and Romantic landscape painting, drawing inspiration from the French countryside and his travels in Italy, producing serene and meticulously composed natural scenes. His works were regularly exhibited at the Paris Salon and are held in several French museum collections.
