Nicholas Nixon

Nicholas Nixon is an American photographer born in 1947, best known for his large-format 8x10 view camera work that captures intimate, documentary-style portraits and street scenes with exceptional clarity and detail. He is celebrated for 'The Brown Sisters,' an ongoing annual photographic series begun in 1975 documenting his wife and her three sisters, which has become one of the most acclaimed long-term portrait projects in photography history.
