Mrinalini Mukherjee

Indian(1949–2015)

Mukherjee created monumental fiber sculptures using traditional knotting and weaving techniques that evoked organic forms and Hindu mythology. Her work bridged craft and contemporary sculpture, creating biomorphic forms from natural and synthetic fibers. She represented India at major international exhibitions and her work is held by Kiran Nadar Museum and National Gallery of Modern Art.
