Minnie Pwerle

Minnie Pwerle (c. 1922-2006) was an Indigenous Australian artist from the Anmatyerre people who became known for her distinctive contemporary paintings. She began her artistic career late in life and became renowned for her abstract dot paintings that drew from traditional Aboriginal art practices and storytelling.
