Works
The only female artist associated with Arte Povera, Merz worked with delicate materials including copper wire, wax, and fabric. Her intimate installations and sculptures challenged monumentality, and she represented Italy at the Venice Biennale in 2013. Her work is held in MoMA and the Walker Art Center.
