Margaret Keane

Margaret Keane is an American artist best known for her paintings of subjects with unusually large, melancholic eyes, which became popular during the 1960s. She gained recognition after her work was famously attributed to her husband, Walter Keane, in a case that became known as the 'big eyes' fraud.
