Marcel Janco was a Romanian-Jewish artist and one of the founders of the Dada movement, co-founding the Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich in 1916. He worked across multiple mediums including painting, sculpture, and architecture, and was instrumental in developing Dadaist aesthetics during the early 20th century. After World War II, he moved to Israel where he continued his artistic practice and helped establish artistic communities.
