Lin Shu, Landscape after Wu Li

Lin Shu was a Chinese painter active during the Qing dynasty, known for his landscape works executed in the manner of Wu Li, one of the Orthodox Six Masters of early Qing painting. He worked within the literati tradition, employing ink wash techniques and compositional conventions inherited from the Wu school lineage. His paintings reflect the scholarly aesthetic values of restraint, historical allusion, and meditative naturalism characteristic of orthodox Chinese landscape painting.
