Lambert Sustris was a Dutch painter active in the sixteenth century, known for his work in Venice where he spent much of his career under the influence of Titian. He produced portraits, mythological scenes, and religious compositions that blended Northern European detail with Italian Renaissance sensibility. His works have appeared at major auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's, often attributed with varying degrees of certainty due to the complexity of his workshop relationships.
