Konrad Lueg
German(1939–1996)
Lueg was a painter associated with German Pop Art and Capitalist Realism who collaborated with Gerhard Richter on happenings that parodied consumer culture. His paintings featured banal consumer goods and domestic scenes rendered in deadpan, photographic styles. He later became an influential art dealer, but his early paintings are held in German collections including Museum Ludwig and documented the emergence of postwar German Pop.
