Jan van Goyen

Jan Josephszoon van Goyen was a prolific Dutch Golden Age landscape painter known for his broad range of subjects including river landscapes, marine paintings, beach scenes, and cityscapes. He produced approximately twelve hundred paintings and more than one thousand drawings throughout his career. His influential work shaped generations of landscape painters that followed him.
