Gianni Colombo (1937, 1993) was an Italian artist and pioneer of kinetic and programmed art, best known for his immersive environmental installations that manipulated light, space, and perception. A founding member of Gruppo T in Milan in 1959, he explored the viewer's active participation in destabilizing spatial experiences through motorized structures and optical phenomena. His works have been exhibited internationally and appear regularly at major auction houses, with significant prices achieved for his elastic string environments and rotating relief sculptures.
