Gertrud Natzler

Gertrud collaborated with husband Otto Natzler to create refined ceramic vessels where she threw delicate forms and he developed over 2,500 glaze formulas. Their minimalist bowls and bottles with spectacular crystalline and reduction glazes are held in major museums including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. They were pioneers in elevating studio ceramics to fine art status.
