Gareth Nyandoro

Gareth Nyandoro is a Zimbabwean artist known for his large-scale works created using a distinctive kugadzwa technique, in which he cuts and layers printed packaging materials, newspaper, and found paper to build richly textured compositions depicting everyday life in Harare. His works capture scenes of street vendors, informal markets, and urban activity, reflecting the vibrant economic and social rhythms of contemporary Zimbabwe. Nyandoro has gained significant international recognition, exhibiting at major institutions and art fairs and emerging as one of the most important voices in contemporary African art.
