Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato (1900, 1995) was a Brazilian self-taught painter of Italian descent, known for his vibrant, lyrical depictions of Brazilian landscapes, urban scenes, and everyday life. Working primarily in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, he developed a distinctive naive style characterized by rich colors, flattened perspectives, and an intimate celebration of Brazilian flora, architecture, and rural life. Though largely overlooked during much of his lifetime, he gained significant recognition in his later years and is now considered one of Brazil's most important naïve artists.
