Achille-Émile Othon Friesz was a French painter born in Le Havre, known for his bold use of color and energetic brushwork as a key figure in the Fauvist movement. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris alongside fellow Fauves such as Raoul Dufy and Georges Braque. Later in his career, his style evolved toward a more structured, classical approach influenced by Cézanne.
