Colin Campbell Cooper (1856, 1937) was an American Impressionist painter celebrated for his dynamic depictions of New York City skyscrapers, bustling urban streetscapes, and California missions and gardens. He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and later in Paris, where he absorbed the Impressionist technique of capturing light and atmosphere. Cooper was a prolific exhibitor whose work earned numerous awards and remains highly sought after in the American art market.
