Cecilia Vicuña

Cecilia Vicuña is a poet, filmmaker, and visual artist whose multimedia practice addresses ecological destruction, indigenous knowledge, and political violence through ephemeral sculptures called "precarios," large-scale installation with unspun wool called "quipus," and performances. Her work draws on Andean traditions and has gained major recognition late in her career. She had a major retrospective at the Guggenheim in 2022.
