Carlos Franqui (1921-2010) was a Cuban writer, editor, and dissident intellectual who initially supported the Cuban Revolution before becoming a vocal critic of Fidel Castro's regime. He founded the influential literary magazine Lunes de Revolución and later went into exile, becoming an important voice for Cuban diaspora literature and journalism. His work spanned poetry, essays, journalism, and memoir writing.
