Carlo Carrà was a pivotal Italian painter and one of the founding signatories of the Futurist Manifesto of Painters in 1910, known for his dynamic depictions of modern life and urban energy. He later transitioned to Metaphysical painting alongside Giorgio de Chirico, and subsequently developed a monumental, classicizing style influenced by early Italian masters. His works span Futurism, Pittura Metafisica, and a post-war return to meditative, archaic figuration.
