Camille Bombois (1883–1970) was a self-taught French naïve painter who worked as a circus strongman, farmhand, and factory worker before gaining recognition as an artist in the 1920s. He is celebrated for his vibrant depictions of circus performers, fairground scenes, and rural French life, rendered with bold colors and a directness that reflects his working-class origins. His work was championed by Wilhelm Uhde alongside other naïve masters such as Henri Rousseau and Séraphine Louis.
