Horacio Garcia-Rossi (1929, 2012) was an Argentine-born kinetic and optical artist who became a central figure in the international kinetic art movement after settling in Paris in the 1950s. He was a founding member of the influential GRAV (Groupe de Recherche d'Art Visuel) collective in 1960, alongside artists such as Julio Le Parc and François Morellet, which sought to engage viewers through participatory and perceptual art experiences. His work, often involving light, movement, and color, has been exhibited at major institutions worldwide and continues to appear regularly at auction.
