Cao Fei is a multimedia artist known for video installations and virtual reality works that examine rapid urbanization and digital culture in contemporary China. Her 'RMB City' project created a Chinese city in Second Life, while 'Haze and Fog' documents Pearl River Delta factories. Her work has been shown at the Guggenheim, MoMA PS1, and she represented China at the Venice Biennale.
