Bradley Walker Tomlin

American(1899–1953)

Tomlin created refined, calligraphic abstractions with delicate linear networks and subtle color harmonies that combined Abstract Expressionist gesture with classical structure. His mature work from the late 1940s established him as an important New York School painter. He is collected by MoMA, the Whitney, and the Buffalo AKG Art Museum.
