Blue Noses Group is a Russian art collective formed in Novosibirsk in 1999 by artists Viacheslav Mizin and Alexander Shaburov, known for their irreverent, politically charged, and often absurdist video art, photography, and performances. Working in the tradition of Sots Art and political satire, the duo lampoons Russian nationalism, Soviet nostalgia, bureaucracy, and consumer culture with dark humor and low-budget aesthetics. They gained international recognition for works that boldly critique post-Soviet Russian identity and political life, exhibiting widely in Europe and appearing in major contemporary art collections.
