Wood was a ceramic artist and early Dada associate known for her lustered vessels and figurative sculptures that blended modernist and craft traditions. After studying with Gertrud and Otto Natzler, she developed signature iridescent glazes on chalices and bowls. Her work is held in the Smithsonian American Art Museum and she became known as the "Mama of Dada."
