Shuvinai Ashoona

Ashoona creates drawings that combine traditional Inuit imagery with science fiction and fantastical elements, depicting the changing Arctic landscape. Her large-scale works address climate change and cultural transformation in the Canadian North. She has exhibited at the National Gallery of Canada and was featured in the 2022 Venice Biennale.
