Anjolie Ela Menon is one of India's leading contemporary artists known for her distinctive figurative works in oil on masonite. Her paintings are held in major collections including the NGMA, the Chandigarh Museum, the Peabody Essex Museum, and the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. She was awarded the Padma Shree in 2000 and is also recognized as a prominent muralist.
