Amédée de La Patellière (1890, 1932) was a French painter known for his somber, expressive depictions of rural life, peasants, and landscapes, particularly scenes from Brittany and the French countryside. His work is characterized by a dark, earthy palette and a deeply humanist sensibility influenced by Post-Impressionism and early Expressionism. Despite his short life, he gained significant recognition and was awarded the Prix Blumenthal in 1926.
