Albert Sands Southworth

Albert Sands Southworth was an American daguerreotypist and pioneer of early portrait photography in the 19th century. Working primarily in Boston, he was known for his technical innovations and high-quality daguerreotype portraits. He collaborated extensively with Josiah Johnson Hawes, forming one of the most important photographic partnerships of the era.
