The Luo Brothers are a trio of Chinese contemporary artists, Luo Weidong, Luo Weiguo, and Luo Weibing, born and based in Chongqing, China, who began collaborating in the 1990s. They are best known for their large-scale, visually exuberant paintings that satirize consumer culture, blending the iconography of Chinese folk art, advertising, and socialist imagery with the aesthetics of global capitalism and pop art. Their work offers a sharp commentary on China's rapid economic transformation and the commodification of desire in post-reform Chinese society.
