Daphne Odjig

Daphne Odjig was a pioneering Canadian First Nations artist of Odawa descent, known for her paintings and printmaking that explored Indigenous identity and contemporary Native American experience. Her work blended traditional indigenous aesthetics with modernist techniques, and she was instrumental in the development of contemporary Indigenous art in Canada.
