Kemang Wa Lehulere

Kemang Wa Lehulere creates installations, drawings, and sculptures using reclaimed materials like school desks, chalk, and ash to explore South African history, education under apartheid, and personal memory. His work 'Bedroom Furniture has Disserted [sic] the Room' examines overlooked figures from Black South African cultural history. He represented South Africa at the Venice Biennale and has exhibited at the Tate Modern.
