Rui Chafes

Chafes is a sculptor who works exclusively with black-painted iron, creating organic, biomorphic forms that suggest bodies, internal organs, and emotional states. His dark, poetic sculptures explore themes of absence, pain, and transcendence. He represented Portugal at the Venice Biennale and is collected by major European museums.
