Ed Templeton

Ed Templeton is an American artist, photographer, and professional skateboarder born in 1972 in Orange County, California, whose work blurs the boundaries between documentary photography, painting, and subcultural observation. His art draws heavily from the skateboarding world, suburban life, and youth culture, often combining photography with text and paint to create layered, intimate narratives. Templeton is a significant figure in both the skateboarding and contemporary art worlds, having exhibited widely in galleries and museums while also founding the skate company Toy Machine.
