Anna Bella Geiger

Geiger pioneered video art in Brazil and creates multimedia works critiquing cartography, colonialism, and gender. Her video works from the 1970s and altered map series deconstruct geographical and cultural power structures. She has exhibited at Documenta and Venice Biennale, and her work is held by MoMA and Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro.
