Lionel Wendt

Wendt was a photographer known for modernist portraits and male nudes that subtly explored homoerotic themes within colonial Sri Lankan society. His work combined pictorialist techniques with modernist sensibility. His photographs are held by the National Museum of Sri Lanka and have been exhibited internationally in recent retrospectives examining South Asian modernism.
