Robert Beauchamp

Robert Beauchamp was an American figurative painter and arts educator known for his expressive depictions of dramatic creatures and figures rendered in bold, expressionistic colors. A student of the influential Hans Hofmann, Beauchamp developed a distinctive style described by the New York Times as 'both frightening and amusing.' He was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in recognition of his contributions to American art.
