Yoo Youngkuk

Yoo Youngkuk (1916-2002) was a pioneering Korean abstract artist who helped introduce modernism to Korea in the mid-20th century. He founded the Dansaekhwa movement, which emphasized monochromatic abstraction and the expressive use of color and texture on canvas.
