E. A. Séguy (Eugène Alain Séguy) was a French decorative artist and entomologist active in the early twentieth century, celebrated for his exquisitely detailed pochoir print portfolios depicting insects, butterflies, flowers, and ornamental designs. His richly colored pattern books, particularly 'Papillons' and 'Insectes,' were influential in Art Deco design and were widely used by textile, wallpaper, and fashion designers of the era. Séguy's work bridges scientific illustration and decorative art, earning him enduring admiration among collectors of vintage prints and design ephemera.
