Eileen Agar was a British-Argentine Surrealist painter and collagist whose work celebrated mythology, nature, and the subconscious. She was the only woman officially included in the landmark 1936 International Surrealist Exhibition in London, bringing her international recognition. Her diverse practice spanned painting, collage, photography, and assemblage, often incorporating found objects and organic forms.
