Judy Watson

Judy Watson is a Waanyi artist whose paintings, prints, and installations layer organic forms, ochre pigments, and historical references to reveal suppressed Indigenous histories and connections to country. Her work often incorporates archival research and responds to specific sites of colonial violence. She represented Australia at the 1997 Venice Biennale and her work is held in major Australian and international museums.
