Nengi Omuku is a Nigerian-British painter known for her ethereal, dreamlike figurative works rendered in diluted oil paint on silk organza. Her practice explores themes of memory, identity, community, and the human condition, often depicting groups of figures in ambiguous, meditative spaces that blur the boundaries between the personal and the collective. Born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, she studied at the Slade School of Fine Art in London and has gained significant international recognition for her distinctive aesthetic and emotionally resonant imagery.
