Woodman transformed functional pottery into exuberant sculptural installations, combining classical vessel forms with painterly surfaces and architectural extensions. Her Pillow Pitchers and later relief works merged ceramics with painting, creating hybrid objects shown at the Metropolitan Museum and ICA London. She expanded the boundaries between craft and contemporary art over a seven-decade career.
