Louis Vivin (1861, 1936) was a French naïve painter who worked as a postal clerk for most of his life, pursuing painting seriously only after retirement. He became one of the celebrated masters of naïve art, known for his meticulously detailed depictions of Parisian monuments, street scenes, and hunting subjects painted with a distinctive brick-by-brick precision. Discovered by critic Wilhelm Uhde in the 1920s, Vivin gained international recognition and was exhibited alongside other naïve masters such as Henri Rousseau and Séraphine Louis.
