Omar Carreño

Omar Carreño (1927, 2013) was a Venezuelan abstract painter celebrated for his vibrant, geometric compositions that blended lyrical abstraction with bold chromatic expression. A prominent figure in Venezuela's mid-20th century avant-garde scene, he exhibited internationally and was associated with the kinetic and constructive art movements emerging from Caracas. His works have appeared in major Latin American auction houses and are held in significant private and institutional collections.
