Judith Lauand (born 1922) is a pioneering Brazilian Concrete artist and one of the few women associated with the influential Grupo Ruptura, founded in São Paulo in 1952. Her work is characterized by precise geometric abstraction, exploring mathematical principles, rhythm, and optical effects through a restrained formal vocabulary. Lauand is recognized as a significant figure in the Latin American Concretist movement, and her long career has received renewed international attention in recent decades.
