Tom Davila Tom Davila’s passion for real estate began at an early age under the tutelage of his grandfather, who taught him the true secret to success in the real estate business: Honesty. As Tom built his personal real estate portfolio, he also gained unparalleled knowledge of construction, renovation and design. It is this unique and thorough insight that allows Tom to guide his clients, helping them make informed decisions about their largest and most important investments. In 2005, Tom joined forces with his business partner Kennon Earl to form RARE Properties, with the goal of providing Southern California’s best possible real estate services to buyers and sellers. Ranked among the top teams in all of Los Angeles for the last11 years, their work has been featured on HGTV’s "Selling LA." Presently he has a team of 14 and is at Compass Beverly Hills. Prior to real estate, Tom was the President of Warner Bros. signature visual effects studio responsible for the cutting-edge sequels to THE MATRIX and other high-profile films. Through his experience in the entertainment industry, he cultivated long-standing relationships with some of the most influential executives in Hollywood and around the world. A lifelong Angeleno, Tom was born in Encino and raised in Toluca Lake and the Hollywood Hills. He is a graduate of the California State University-Northridge. He owns homes in the Hollywood Hills, Oxnard/Hollywood Beach area and the Desert. He has served on the Architectural Committee at Morningside Country Club (363 homes) for 14 years and held for 4 terms as President of the Outpost Neighborhood Association in the Hollywood Hills which he has been a resident with his husband for the past 31 years. Presently he is on the Board for Outpost Neighborhood Association and Hollywood Bowl Advisory Council for Traffic and Sound.
