Steve Durkee

Steve Durkee (1938, 2012) was an American artist and co-founder of the Lama Foundation, a spiritual community in New Mexico, whose work blended sacred geometry, mysticism, and psychedelic visionary art. He was associated with the 1960s counterculture and created large-scale paintings, mandalas, and mixed-media works that explored spiritual and cosmic themes. His art appeared in significant counterculture publications and his works have been offered at various auction houses as examples of American visionary and psychedelic art.
